Enter an Accounts Receivable Invoice and relate to Development Ledger

You can enter an accounts receivable invoice from the Accounts Receivable module, and relate it to an estate, stage and project in the Development Ledger.  In this manner, we receive money into a specific project in the Development Ledger.

To enter an Accounts Receivable Invoice and relate it to the Development Ledger:

1.   Open Accounts Receivable.

2.   You need to be in a company that uses the Development Ledger to be able to enter a Development Ledger Accounts Receivable invoice

3.   Click on the Invoice button on the Toolbar

4.   Check the Real Time or Batch process from the Invoice Process option group

5.   Click on New

6.   Select the Client from the lookup box and click on OK

7.   Check the Development Ledger checkbox. Once you click on the Development Ledger check box, the table at the bottom of the Invoice window will change allowing you to add detailed data on the Company, Estate, Stage, Project and Cost Centre.

8.   Click into the Estate column on the first line and use lookup to select the estate created in an earlier exercise

9.   Click into the Stage column and use lookup to select the stage

11. Click into the Cost Centre column, click on the Lookup button, and select a Revenue Cost Centre

15. If necessary, choose a Printer and click OK

16. Close the Accounts Receivable module

Note

When creating a Development Ledger invoice with integration to the Job Costing module, a 'DIS' type transaction will be created against the Job. This is to ensure that the correct 'commitment' values appear against the job in the Forecasting module and agree with the Development Ledger transactions.
