For example we will enter an extension of time for a contract. This may occur due to bad weather, unforeseen construction circumstances, or at the client’s request.
1. Ensure Contract Management is open

Select a Contract and click on Properties
For example choose the contract
[Groundworks for Shed] for the job [Industrial Shed].
3. Click on the Extensions of Time Register tab
4. Click on New

Enter of From – To range date
The From date will be today’s
date. We will enter a To date. Click on the To date selection
button, and choose a date 2 weeks from now.
6. Click in the Days Affected field
7. Notice that the days affected is automatically calculated for you.

Select a Delay Type using the drop down menu selection
For example
choose [2 - Weather]

Enter details for Who Affected, Reference and Comment Leave the “Status” to
Pending
For example enter the Who Affected as: [Ground works and concreters],
leave the Status as [Pending], and enter a Reference of [Rain], with Comments as
[You can’t stop the weather!]
10. Click on OK to confirm
11. Select the Extension of time we just entered, and click on Properties
12. Change the
Status to Approved and click on OK
A confirmation message will be displayed,
asking you if you want to add the days on to the completion of the project
13. Click Yes to the message
14. Click on OK to close the Contract Maintenance
