The Invoice function allows users to record details of invoices that require payment.
Invoices can be created in either Batch or Real Time mode.
Often most of the Accounts Receivable invoices are associated with a Job, and are therefore created from the Job Costing module; you can create an invoice directly in Accounts Receivable and not relate to a job.
To create an Accounts Receivable Invoice:
1. Open Accounts Receivable
2. Click on the Invoice button
3. The following screen will be displayed
4. Check the Real Time or Batch process from the Invoice Process option group
5. Click on New
6. Select a client from the list, and click on OK
7. In the table in the bottom half of the window, right click in the Distribution column, and choose a Distribution code for this AR invoice
8. Enter the amount in Each
9. Right click in the Tax Code column and choose an appropriate tax code, and click OK. The total amount will be calculated
10. Choose a Printer and click OK
11. Click on Cancel in the Client lookup to exit invoice entry and close Accounts Receivable
