Zavanti ERP allows for the inclusion of “User Groups” – a collection of users all sharing the same authority level and access rights to the software. This allows for System Administrators to quickly and efficiently manage all users within the software.
After selecting the “Users” option from Systems Maintenance, the new “Maintain User Groups and Users” window will appear. There are now 3 columns:
•Groups
•Assigned Users
•Unassigned Users.
Functionality exists in User Maintenance to allow users to apply user security to all companies/entities when assigning Group or User security access instead of needing to manually assign by Company/Entity.

1. To create a new group, the user must click once in the Groups column and select the “New” button. Each group will be required to have their own unique code. Within the “Group Details” window, users will be able to set the Authority Level, module and function accessibility, and various system settings.
2. Alternatively, it is possible to import the group settings from an existing user of the system, effectively treating the user as a “template”. Once a new group has been set up, the “Import” option becomes available within the Group Properties.
3. Users will need to be assigned to Groups to be affected by changes made to that group. All users not currently assigned to a group will appear in the “Unassigned Users” column on the right. Once a user has been assigned, they will only appear in the “Assigned Users” column when the appropriate group is selected.
4. Personalised user settings can still be maintained by highlighting the user and selecting the “Properties” button. If a user is assigned to a group, any individual settings will be lost if the Group settings are changed.
5. If a group is deleted while there are still users assigned to that group, the users will be automatically unassigned prior to the group being removed.
