Copying Financial Reports

When first creating a new company, there won’t be any financial reports in the new company, namely the Profit and Loss or Balance Sheet. It’s possible to copy these reports from another company in the database, thus making them available in the new company.

1.  Open the General Ledger module

2.  Select the Source Company from the Company drop down at the top of the window. This is the company the report will be copied from.

3.  Press the FRW button on the toolbar

4.  Press Copy

5.  Select the newly created company from the Company to Copy To drop down.

6.  Select the report to be copied

7.  Press OK

8.  Reselect the Report Writer window from the Windows task bar at the bottom of the screen

9.  Repeat steps 4 – 7 for any additional reports to be copied

10. Press the X to close the FRW window and return to the main window of GL

11. Select the new company from the Company drop down field

12. The reports should now appear under the Financial Reports toolbar menu
