Buyer Type can be used for such things as reporting, market research, etc. An example of a buyer type might be ‘First Home Buyer’. The buyer type can be assigned to a purchaser on the Contract Details window in Sales Maintenance.
1. To create a new Buyer Type, select a menu path of Maintenance Ø Sales Ø Buyer Types.

3. To create a new Buyer Type, select the New button. The following dialogue box will be displayed:
4. To assign the Buyer Type a unique identifier, enter a value into the Code field. Press Tab.
5. Enter a name for the Buyer Type into the Description field. Press the OK button. The refreshed Buyer Type Listing window will be displayed as follows:
