Stages

The Stage level is directly shown below the estate level. You will need to set up a stage for the logical split of an estate you will need. In most cases the stage level becomes the most active part of your hierarchy. It is our recommendation that you code most of your Development Expenses to the Stage level. In this way as you make sales your costs are recouped on a stage-by-stage, lot-by-lot basis.

If you do not wish to code your costs to this level then the next choice is to the Lot level based upon your predefined formula (i.e. Lots left unsold, or Lot Area etc.)

Several Reports, such as the Stock and Sales Listings, although available at a company and estate level, will default to a stage level when printing the information. For instance if you chose to ask for all Available Stock in Company 100 you would in fact get just that but it would be grouped by estate and stage with a grand total by company. Therefore your stage becomes not only your data entry level but also your stock and sales reporting levels. The Stage Code is a 5 Character Alpha Numeric.

Cost of Sales Percentages can be set at a Stage level.
