Refer also to Eligible Termination Payments.
Single Touch Payroll reporting requires notification of a Final Event indicator for all employees either when terminated or at the end of the financial year.
The termination date can be entered in the individual’s timesheet when creating a payroll batch and this will update employee properties as well as set the Final Event Indicator for this single employee in the batch.

Termination Date has now been added to individual employee timesheets. This detail will embed the Termination Date and Final Event Indicator in the Single Touch Payroll file and will also update the properties of the Employee as part of the Finalise Pay Run process.
The Termination Date can also be done on the employee properties by a right mouse click in the Employee drop down selection and select Properties. This will then populate the timesheet with termination date.

Note |
If you re-engage the Employee you simply need to remove the termination date and include the new start date. We recommend you use the notes fields in the employee record to maintain the old start and termination dates. |
