Notification of final pay details

Employers no longer are required to provide PAYG summaries (Group Certificates) to Employees, nor lodge Empdupe files. This is now all covered in the Single Touch Payroll reporting.

You must notify the ATO for each employee that this is the final event for the fiscal year.

This is easiest done by running a batch of zero pays for all employees after your final pay for the year and before the next pay applicable to the next tax year for employees, this can include terminated employees if they have not previously been notified to the ATO, as below.
