The following section explains how to maintain the basic data elements that will be required to run the Fixed Assets Module. You will need to create at least one of each data element and also understand how each relates to others.
It is important when setting up your Fixed Assets Module that you understand fully how each data element works. This section will explain this to you.
Following is an explanation of some rules that will work for you with ALL of the maintenance menu items.
When you choose an item from the menu you will be presented with a table that shows you all of the existing codes that exist for that item. E.g. if you are maintaining Asset Groups you will see a list of all Asset Groups that have currently been created.
The pushbuttons at the top of this screen work in the same way in each case.
