Adding a New Task to the Job Task Management schedule.

Functionality also allows users to ADD Tasks as required to the Task management table, by clicking the NEW button. This functionality only allows for a Task from the master task list that is flagged as a ‘Progress Claim Milestone’ Task to be entered ONCE only for any particular Job.

Any ‘variations’ or rescheduled tasks are tracked within to the schedule by using different colours on the screen and subsequent Task Management report.

For example, a ‘rain day’ that delays the entire schedule may need to be added in at day 3, so using the above example as previously noted

1.   The user would click on the ‘NEW’ button in the Task Management TAB, select ‘Rain Day’ task from the list provided and enter the ‘Scheduled Start date’ and ‘Scheduled End Date’

2.   A message will be displayed “Do you wish to move all subsequent tasks after this date Y/N”

3.   If the users click, yes, to the above, then the rules that apply to calculating the ‘Scheduled date’ will be reapplied from the ‘Rain Day’ schedule date (see: 0)

4.   Any of these ‘variables’ or additional tasks added will be flagged as ‘Variations’ on this table by showing them as a different colour (RED), and all subsequent tasks that have been moved shown in (BLUE)

5.   This will allow the creation of the Task management report by Job to reflect the details held on the Job Task TAB.

6.   Similarly, if a user changes the Scheduled Start Dates of any of the Tasks, then the message will also be applied and the setting of the colours and database fields will apply

7.   A message will be displayed “Do you wish to move all subsequent tasks after this date Y/N”

8.   If the users click, yes, to the above, then the rules that apply to calculating the ‘Scheduled date’ will be reapplied from the modified task for all subsequent dates.

9.   If the user changes the ‘Scheduled Start date’ of any task by setting it to a later date, no tasks prior to this date are reset. For example if the Truss Delivery task below, was changed to ‘Scheduled Start date’ of 10-Jun-2024, then this would leave the 8-Jun-2024 with NO TASK.
